Hi there
We had our October monthly meeting last weekend, and it was great to see a full house! All the seats were filled with both older and newer members, and we enjoyed a wide range of guitar pieces and styles, ranging from beginner to expert.
Some of the pieces played included:
- Aeolian Waltz, by D.S. DeLano, played by Peter
- Tiempo de Zamba, by Julio Sagreras, played by Jeni
- El Condor Pasa, a duet played by Kiah and Michael
- Somewhere over the Rainbow, played by Jonathan
- Dulces Suenos, by Cameron Sloan, played by Evan
- Street Shuffle, both composed and performed by Michael Stoop
- Andante from Sonata for Guitar by Joaquin Turina, played by Cameraon Sloan
- Plus a bossanova played by Wolfgang, with improv by Cameron
It was great to have such a good turn out, and as usual the performers had to deal with their varying degrees of nerves, and the warm welcoming supportive atmosphere helped it be enjoyed by all.
As usual, we look forward to welcoming current and new members, young and old, beginner or expert, at next month’s meeting on 5th November.
